The ‘bikable’ Lavanttal can be explored along 500 km marked bike tours and along 350 km family friendly bicycle paths. The ‘aorta’ of the bicycle path net is the Lavant’s bicycle path R10, which leads along the river Lavant and which is 54 km long.

More than 500 km marked and family friendly hiking paths lure onto the airy heights up to 2100 m above sea level in Carinthia’s southernmost region.
The Koralpe’s and Saualpe’s hillsides offer a good starting point for numerous mountain tours and circular walking routes. It is possible to explore this charming hiking area without much effort and mountaineering skills.
Culture
The Lavanttal’s cultural offer is affected by historic treasures. The axis between St. Paul – St. Andrä – Wolfsberg is the region’s historic, religious and worldly centre. The Benedictine monastery has gained, supported by the major regional exhibition 1991, cultural relevance beyond the region and the province Carinthia.
