The routes themselves are as varied as the countryside itself. If flat ones appeal to you, go for the rivers – Drau, Möll, Gail or Lavant. For those panoramic views, head uphill into the Nock Mountains, Carnic Alps and Karawanken or, even steeper, the Hohe Tauern.
