Alpine skiing pleasure that leaves no wishes unfulfilled – in Carinthia, winter guests have a vast choice among the most beautiful alpine regions: between Heiligenblut and Nassfeld, between Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Möll Valley Glacier. In total there are 1,028 kilometres of alpine pistes.
Here, at the meeting point of three geographical worlds, walking tours are particularly varied. Clear mountain lakes, murmuring brooks and the mysterious silence elsewhere, only interrupted by the sounds of the wood and its inhabitants: this is how the mountainous area north of the Drau Valley presents itself.
The region around the city of Villach is a swimming and hiking paradise for all the family: beautiful, crystal-clear lakes and a natural landscape that provides everything from quiet walks to adventurous climbing tours. Tthere are also numerous alpine chalets and inns that offer culinary delicacies influenced by the three different cultures of Carinthia, Slovenia and Italy.
