The town owes its name to a bridge built over the Görtschitz in the 16th century.
Due to its geographic location, Brückl has always been a hub on the roads from Klagenfurt and St. Veit to Hüttenberg, Klippitztörl and Styria. Apart from countless excursions, guests can also visit many local attractions, such as a modern sports centre with sauna and squash courts, mini-golf course and lots more.
