From summer 2012 the nature paradise of Carinthia will be enticing hikers to take an inspiring journey of discovery on the new Alpe Adria Trail. This leads for 690 kilometres, from the perpetual ice in Carinthia through Slovenia to the Italian Adriatic.
Waterfalls and gorges walking tours
For millions of years the elemental force of water has moulded and shaped the mountainous landscape of the Hohe Tauern! In the process it has left behind for us masterpieces of the Creation: waterfalls plummeting down into the valleys over sky-high rock faces and through deep and mysterious gorges.

Off the prepared pistes another adventure begins: if you really want to feel the untouched landscape up close, you had better put the skins on your touring skis and conquer the Carinthian winter step by step.
